Liberation Day 2000
Guernsey isn't exactly big, so when Hitler said " I'll have that" or something similar, we couldnt put up much of a fight. So Guernsey and the other Channel Islands (Alderney, Sark and that one i cant bring myself to type) were occupied by the German army. At the end of the war someone in England remembered that they had forgotten about 'those pesky islands' and they finally kicked the Germans out on 9th May 1945.|
Ever since then we've used that date as an excuse to have a HUGE party where we all have too much fun and cant remember anything about it the next day! Here's what happened this year, the 55th aniversary!
Those people who decided that Lib Day 2k was best spent with the crazy scooby gang were...
Chris (not for long)
Mark (for a short time)
Matt (turned up many hours later than everyone else)
Martin (it was his birthday!)
Hanny (sorry if I got your name totally wrong, tell me and i'll fix it)
Peter (we stopped in one place for too long and he found us, we couldnt shake him off after that!)
So we all wondered around town between 1pm and about 11pm listening to the live music, wandering round the fair, meeting people and lots more!
